Do you remember when the goat meme was a thing? You know, the songs that had screaming goats into the screamier parts of a song? Remember thinking that goats would never get cooler?
Do you remember when the goat meme was a thing? You know, the songs that had screaming goats into the screamier parts of a song? Remember thinking that goats would never get cooler?
Well you were wrong because they just did.
Just a few hours ago, Coffee Stain Studios, a developer in
Sweden, announced Goat
Simulator, a game where you play as a goat who breaks stuff. That’s it.
That’s basically the entire premise. It’s simple, dumb, kind of buggy and by
far one of the most important things to happen ever.
This announcement comes about one week after the Coffee
Stain posted an alpha video
of the game on YouTube. In
a conversation with ViceArmin Ibrisagic, PR manager for Coffee Stain, said that the video has had a
better overall response than most of their other trailers.
“When I
woke up today my video with the damn goat had 100,000 views, which is like more
than all our other real game trailers the last year combined,” he said.>
Goat Simulator is currently available for
preorder on the game’s website for
$9.99. Preordering will give early access three days before release, which
Coffee Stain expects to be Spring of this year.
